Domain name registrar GoDaddy has bought 70,000 domain names from Worldwide Media.

The acquisition, for an undisclosed amount, will see GoDaddy acquire domains targeted at small businesses and others.

GoDaddy will list the majority of the names on the fast transfer network, operated by Afternic, which was purchased by GoDaddy in 2013. Afternic’s domain reseller network includes 18 of the top 20 registrars. When a customer searches for a domain name, Afternic provides the exact name or a list of alternatives available for sale.

Mike McLaughlin, GoDaddy’s senior vice president and general manager, said: “GoDaddy is focused on making sure our customers get the perfect online name for their business or passion, so we’re always looking at ways to improve what domain names our customers can register.”

The entire list of domain names included in the deal is available at namefind.com.
