Three partners have joined US law firm Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP from IP law firm Ryndak & Suri LLP.
James Ryndak, who founded Ryndak & Suri, and former partners Mark Suri and Eric Weimers all join the firm’s Chicago office.
Ryndak specialises in patent prosecution, licensing, litigation, and client counselling, including on patent validity and infringement. He also focuses on trademark, copyright and trade secret matters.
As well as representing clients in patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret matters, Suri has experience advising clients on Internet-related issues.
Weimers specialises in patent validity and prosecution, and trademark selection. He also focuses on registration and enforcement, copyright, trade secret, licensing and litigation.
Ryndak said the ability to offer existing clients a full-service, national law firm attracted him to Hinshaw.
He continued: “Our group will provide a comprehensive, full-service patent prosecution capability and practice at Hinshaw, with technical backgrounds including: chemical engineering, chemistry, computer science, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering.
“At Ryndak & Suri we represented all types of clients, from Fortune 100 companies to individual inventors.”
Along with the three partners, Ryndak associates Jeffrey Dixon and Roger Masson, and paralegals Kathy Burger and Donna Bacso, have joined Hinshaw.
