British department store House of Fraser has signed a deal with supermarket Tesco to sell homeware goods on its website.
More than 2,000 products from House of Fraser brands such as Linea and Pied A Terre will be available on tesco.com/direct, taking the number of partners selling on the site to more than 50.
Ian Caminsky, partnership director at Tesco, said he was “delighted” to welcome House of Fraser to Tesco direct.
Andy Harding, executive director, multichannel for House of Fraser, added: “This partnership is an exciting opportunity to share a truly inspirational shopping experience with even more customers. We bring over 160 years of department store retail experience, so there is huge potential to create a great working relationship between our businesses.”
Tesco’s other partners include Mamas & Papas, Early Learning Centre and Maplin.
The supermarket announced a 6 percent fall in group trading annual profit to £3.3 billion ($5.5 billion) in April this year. In the same month, House of Fraser was acquired by Chinese conglomerate Sanpower.
