MarkMonitor, a software company, has extended its brand protection service to the mobile app market.
The service is an additional feature of the existing MarkMonitor software that is designed to help protect brands against infringement.
With the new service, the company is now able to better identify infringing apps and assist brand owners in searching for the misuse of their trademarks and logos in the mobile app market.
Frederick Felman, chief marketing officer at MarkMonitor, said: “Consumers are flocking to mobile channels to research and make purchases and where consumers go, so do scammers ... Brands need to be prepared to protect their revenue and reputation in today’s mobile world.”
